To the Weary Mama: 4 Bible Verses to Help You Breathe Again

Hey Mama! Listen, has the life you prayed for become so overwhelming that even your faith is waning? Just hang on; it will get better, and these four verses will prove it.

Come Unto Me…

  • Matthew 11:28 (KJV) – “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

    • Take a breath, Love—inhale deeply, then exhale. Choose to see Jesus in your midst. His arms are wide open. He never said motherhood would be easy, yet it’s a precious, holy gift from the Father Himself. Don’t carry this weight alone.

Renewed Strength

  • Isaiah 40:31 (KJV) – “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

    • Now that you see His arms wide open, Sis, recognize that as His invitation for you to lean upon Him. Let go of that tendency to try to figure it out because He is God, and you’re not. Go at His pace, not everyone else’s, and stop comparing how you raise your children with other people. On most days, we’re winging it by the grace of God.

His Grace, His Strength

  • 2 Corinthians 12:9 (KJV) – “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”

    • It’s okay to feel weak because the Lord’s strength sustains us. No matter how it looks or feels, He is our portion forever. Rejoice in this truth.

Adorned in Strength

  • Proverbs 31:25 (KJV) – “Strength and honor are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come.”

    • Feeling overwhelmed is not our address or calling card. Now that we've been born again, we've put on Christ, so there is hope for our tomorrows.

Breathe, mama. You’re doing better than you think. It does get better, I promise.

This post was different than my usual style, but that’s fine. If this blessed you, drop a heart in the comments or share a verse that lifts you on hard days. I’d love to pray with you!

Praising God for you,
