3 Time Management Productivity Hacks for Work-From-Home Moms
Running a business from home while raising little ones can feel like a full-on juggling act. Between snack times, Zoom meetings, laundry piles, and the desire to show up fully in your calling and motherhood, time often slips right through your fingers.
But sis, I want to remind you that God is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33). He delights in order and grace, and He’s more than able to help you steward your time well—even in a season that feels full to the brim.
So today, I’m sharing three tried-and-true productivity hacks that are helping me, as a work-from-home mama and entrepreneur, manage my time wisely and peacefully.
1. Start Your Day with the Word Before the Work
Before the emails, the to-do lists, and the client calls—pause. Breathe. Invite Jesus in.
I know how tempting it is to hit the ground running (especially if the house is quiet for a rare moment), but time with the Lord fills your cup in a way no planner ever could. Spending 10–15 minutes in Scripture, prayer, or worship sets the tone for a Spirit-led day.
When you're anchored, your energy changes, your focus sharpens, and your work becomes a form of worship, not just a task list.
✨ Quick Tip: Keep a Bible or devotional by your workspace. That way, you can still grab a few grounding moments between tasks if the morning gets away from you.
2. Create Time Blocks That Match Your Family's Rhythm
Instead of fighting your season, flow with it. Time blocking is one of the most helpful tools I’ve used, but it has to fit your real life, and it is not some ideal version.
Take a look at your family's natural rhythm. When are your kids napping, playing independently, or having screen time? Block off work tasks during those windows. And give yourself permission to focus on only one type of work at a time—emails, client tasks, content creation, etc.
Trying to do everything at once usually leads to getting nothing done and feeling discouraged. But giving your full focus to one task at a time? That’s where the momentum builds.
✨ Quick Tip: Use a simple planner or Google Calendar to assign 1–2 hour time blocks. Remember to include buffer zones for snacks, spills, and snuggles.
3. Keep a “God Goals” List Instead of a Running To-Do List
Instead of an endless list that overwhelms you, create a God Goals List—a short, focused list of the top 3 things God calls you to accomplish that day or week.
This mindset shift keeps you from chasing hustle and helps you lean into purpose. You’ll find that even if your day gets turned upside down (as it often does with littles around), you’ll still have clarity on what matters most.
✨ Quick Tip: Ask God in prayer, “What would You have me focus on today?” Write down a few things, and let that be enough.
Your business isn’t just a hustle—it’s a holy assignment. Time management for Christian moms isn’t about doing more but doing what matters with intention and grace.
Let’s steward our time with peace, purpose, and God’s presence leading the way.
You’ve got this, sis—and you don’t have to do it alone. 💛
