Money Talks: The Journey Begins (2018)

This post was originally published in January 2018 on a different platform.

Yesterday, my husband and I decided to do something we've wanted to do for a long time—we began Financial Peace University on the advice of a loved one.

We didn't always make sound financial decisions in early adulthood, which caught up with us. Credit card debt, unpaid medical bills, and outrageous student loan debt had us drowning financially before we started.

We believe this is what we need to break the cycles of scarcity mindsets and subpar living.

Signing up for Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University was one of the best things we could have done for our marriage!

You, too, may be experiencing some issues with money management. You might not have mountains of debt, but perhaps you need to learn better spending methods. Maybe you need help saving and investing. Whatever your story is, now is the time to take charge and stop letting your money lead you.

As believers, my husband and I decided that we have no choice but to steward our lives well, including our finances. I'm sure this won't be easy, but when we think of our why, I don't doubt we'll come out victoriously.
